Case Details
A case of heavily
calcified left anterior
descending artery
A case of heavily calcified left anterior descending artery
Rotablation is being performed with a 1.25 mm burr at 180,000 (rpm)
The rota burr is gradually being advanced across the narrowing with a pecking motion and is seen to successfully cross the severely calcified segment
Final polishing run
Following rotablation the narrowing is dilated with a balloon catheter showing satisfactory expansion confirming that the ring of calcium has been cracked by the burr
First drug eluting stent is being deployed
Second drug eluting stent is being deployed ensuring stent overlap
Final result
